Ugly God
Ugly God
With over 33 million spins on SoundCloud and another 15 million views on YouTube, Ugly God knows how to use the internet to his advantage. The best word to describe the Houston-bred rapper is unorthodox. With hilariously honest songs like “I Beat My Meat” and a fascination with lizards, the 20-year-old spitta’s eccentric side has earned him a solid fan base. Once fans hear the music, like Ugly God’s viral hits “Water” and “Let’s Do It,” they usually stick around to join his carefree movement. Recently, Ugly God became the first artist under the newly launched Asylum Records, formerly home to Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, Paul Wall and much more. With a label behind him, he’s looking to drop his debut mixtape, The Booty Tape, in 2017.
Nessly
Nessly
Nessly is bringing some brand new flavor in your ear every time you get a notification that he has uploaded a song to SoundCloud. The Atlanta rapper, whose music can be heard on OVO Sound Radio, wants to take his sonics to an untouchable level that will challenge the industry. He most recently dropped the mixtape, Still Finessin, which consists of nine riveting tracks that stay true to the phrase “expect the unexpected.”
While some may compare his sound to the likes of other Atlanta-based rappers, Nessly’s goal is to continue to create his own lane and provide “new sauce” in the process. Get familiar with the kid from the ATL, who already has 10 years of experience making music under his belt and is a mastermind with finessin’ Auto-Tune.–Aleia Woods
